Our Approach
My Story
I was about 15 years old when I first thought about becoming a lawyer and making a difference in people's lives. It has been a privilege beyond anything I could have imagined to become one. Besides working as a lawyer, I have a broad range of community service commitments and leadership roles.
Education
I earned a B.A. summa cum laude, from the University of Minnesota (1975) and a J.D. from the University of Minnesota (1978). I am a member of the Minnesota State Bar Association and Hennepin County Bar Association. I've observed many changes in how lawyers and the judicial system work.
Giving Back
I devote a substantial amount of time mentoring men seeking to recover from chemical dependency, developing and facilitating the seminar Big Book Study & Action and regularly speaking at The Retreat, in Wayzata. I helped establish a volunteer program in the Hennepin County DWI Court.
I am a founder of Grateful Turkeys, Inc. a Minnesota non-profit corporation, an organization of volunteers that prepares and serves a free traditional Thanksgiving meal to thousands of people in need.
